BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — Kids from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Ada County pulled the rope to drop 10,000 toy dolphins into Roaring Springs' Endless River Saturday.
Waterpark guests lined the banks to cheer them to the finish.
The event raised a record $41,000 for the Boys & Girls Club. A spokesperson said in the past 21 years, the Great Dolphin Dunk has raised nearly $1 million in donations for the 11 club locations.
Boys and Girls Club members sold dolphins to support their club. Kids earned one free Roaring Springs ticket for every 25 dolphins sold.
The spokesperson said the Boys & Girls Clubs provide support to over 4,500 kids including academic support, healthy meals, and a safe place to go after school and in the summer.
This year’s Great Dolphin Dunk winners are:

- 2nd Place:Amber Sears, Boise – $500 cash donated by Bent Nail Inspections
- 3rd Place:Christina Jerge, Meridian - $250 cash donated by Western Heating & Air
- 4th Place:Jennifer Zavala, Meridian – One year of pizza from Idaho Pizza Company
