Hilarious streaker belly flops into pond, leaves audience in hysterics at 2023 Phoenix Open

The Phoenix Open is a place of wild times. Tough competition aside, there is always fun to be had at the Open. It was recently proved to be the same, when spectators during the second round had a sight to see. A streaker out of nowhere crashed the course at TPC Scottsdale.

The streaker was sparsely dressed, wearing nothing but sunglasses, sneakers and a speedo. The individual ran across the crowd and made his way onto the green. He then began pole dancing on the stick at the famous 16th hole of the Phoenix Open. He ran in circles for a bit, before zooming off to the next hole.

Security was hot behind the streaker, trying to catch him as soon as possible. Things took an even weirder turn when the streaker decided that it was a good idea to belly flop into the pond nearby, earning laughs from the crowd. But this was just the beginning.

The streaker then proceeds to see a sign of the sponsor of the tournament, Waste Management, near the pond. He swims to the sign and then hilariously goes and stands on top of the W sign. The streaker received a loud applause, no short of a golfer hitting a hole-in-one. Fans on Twitter had the funniest reactions to the streaker.

No mention of his beautiful mullet?

I didn't see this was in Arizona, so I was half expecting there to be alligators in the pond or something.

Security is like “they don’t pay me enough to dive in after him”

Eventually however, it was back to reality for the streaker. He was caught by security and promptly escorted out of the course. He did however, manage to get a victory lap around the pond before he had a rude awakening. He was taken away and will certainly be heavily fined and might even see a night in jail.

Regardless, it was a light hearted moment at the Phoenix Open, where competition does not seem to let up. Scottie Scheffler is in the clear lead right now, with a -13 with Nick Taylor and Jon Rahm at a tied second with -11. McIlroy on the other hand is struggling and stuck at T28, with a -3 after a bout of bad luck.
