Modern Warfare 3 will bring the popular Zombies mode back with added spices. But, will it be free-to-play?
Despite the hefty $70 price tag, CoD fans are really excited to try out the new Modern Warfare 3, especially after finding out about Makarov’s reappearance. Not to mention the 16 classic MW2 (2009) multiplayer maps’ will also be returning with the new title.
However, what excited players the most was the confirmation of Zombies returning to MW3, which will be called Modern Warfare Zombies, or MWZ. The MWZ will reportedly be a mixture of the DMZ and Outbreak.
Nonetheless, the big and most important question is whether Modern Warfare Zombies (MWZ) will be free to play. In this article, we’ll answer all your questions.

Will Modern Warfare Zombies be Free to Play?
Call of Duty introduced Zombies with the release of World at War in 2008. The mode became immensely popular among CoD fans. As a result, CoD made it an integral part of the Black Ops Series later on.
Apart from the World at War and Black Ops series, the Zombies mode later appeared in Vanguard, Advanced Warfare, World War II, and Infinite Warfare in the same way or in modified variations.
However, the Modern Warfare 3 Zombies will follow a different approach, as shared by various reputed sources like ModernWarzone and CharlieIntel. According to the sources, MWZ will be a mixture of DMZ and Outbreak modes.
Moreover, previous leaks from various sources also mentioned that the DMZ mode introduced in Warzone 2.0 could be removed as soon as Modern Warfare 3 releases. If it’s true, there’s a high possibility that MW Zombies will replace DMZ and be made a free-to-play game mode.
